Alice Bower
CounselorAlice Bower Attorney At Law

Hi! I am Alice Bower and I am writing this bio to tell you a little bit about myself so that you will feel more comfortable when coming to see me.

Professional

I have been practicing law in Fort Worth, Texas since 1980. During the first few years of my legal career, I practiced in several areas of law before finding my true calling – being an attorney that provides relief, reduces stress and saves homes – being a bankruptcy attorney.

Because I practiced in other areas before beginning my bankruptcy practice, I have well-rounded knowledge of areas of the law – family, probate, personal injury, criminal (both defense and prosecution) – that sometimes are affecting my bankruptcy clients. My practice has primarily been in bankruptcy since 1994. Since 2000, I have limited my practice to bankruptcy.

I have been rated with a BV Distinguished Rating from Martindale-Hubbell® - a lawyer who has been recognized by their peers for excellence in both legal ability and ethical practice.

Educational

1979 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, Doctor of Jurisprudence. 1976 graduate of Southwestern University, Georgetown, Texas, Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. 1972 graduate of MacArthur High School, Irving, Texas

Personal

I was born in 1954, in Dallas, Texas. I am married. I have one biological child and two bonus children (children that came with my marriage to my husband). All of our children are adults.

I am a certified scuba diver. I have been certified since 1990 and I have more than 120 logged dives. In addition to my law practice and my family, scuba diving is my passion.

Emotional

I am kind and considerate. I am comfortable talking about subjects that are difficult to talk about. I listen to my clients so that I can help them determine what their goals are for filing a bankruptcy. I recognize that bankruptcy is more than a financial decision, it is an emotional decision for many people.

Hello, I am Sean Acker and I would like to tell you a little about myself so that you are as comfortable as possible with the person who will hopefully help you through this difficult time in your life.

Professional

I attended the Texas A&M School of Law (Formerly Texas Wesleyan School of Law) right here in Fort Worth, Texas. I spent much of my extra time in law school working for attorneys in the area primarily in Family and Criminal Law. These experiences helped me to gather a well-rounded understanding of different areas of Law that I often apply today to help my Bankruptcy Clients.

I have been licensed to practice law in the great state of Texas since 2009. Ms. Bower hired me straight out of law school and has been a great mentor and teacher imparting her vast knowledge to me so that I can better serve our clients and their needs. Through my years with Ms. Bower I have been involved in several different matters outside of bankruptcy as well. These matters have helped to increase my understanding of the law and how Bankruptcy relates to other areas of law.

Educational

2009 Graduate of Texas A&M School of Law (Formerly known as the Texas Wesleyan School of Law).

2006 Graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Personal

I was born in 1984, in Rockwall, Texas. I grew up on the Family Farm East of Rockwall, Texas. Those experiences on the farm taught me the hard work and determination that is necessary to vigorously defend my clients’ rights. My wonderful wife and I have been together for 8 great years and have been married for two of those years.

I am attorney by profession but have several other passions when I am not practicing law. Most of those involve the use of my hands such as working on motorcycles and cars. I love to travel and try to hit the beach and the slopes at least once per year.

Emotional

I am an easy going quiet personality type. I have a knack for listening to my clients to determine the most favorable outcome for them and am comfortable talking about difficult situations. Facing a bankruptcy can be a difficult time in your life. I recognize the many financial, emotional, and familial decisions that must be weighed when contemplating bankruptcy. I am here first and foremost to listen and to help you make the correct decisions to get your financial life back on track.

Brandon Warren
AttorneyAttorney Brandon

Hi! My name is Brandon Warren. I wanted to take a minute to tell you a little bit about myself. I think it is important that you feel comfortable with the team you choose for such an important step. I look forward to meeting you in person and getting to know you on a much more personal basis.

Professional

I have been working as a legal assistant at the Law Office of Alice Bower since moving to Fort Worth in May of 2011 to attend Texas A&M School of Law. Over the past four years, under the tutelage of Alice and Sean, I have gained a vast amount of experience in the nuances of bankruptcy law. More importantly, however, Alice and Sean have also taught me how to be good counselor to our clients. While I am new to the office as an attorney, my years of experience at the law office prior to becoming an attorney leave me very comfortable in assisting our clients with their bankruptcy needs.

Educational

2014 graduate of Texas A&M School of Law, Doctor of Jurisprudence.
2010 graduate of University of Texas at Tyler, BBA, Marketing
2007 graduate of Duncanville High School

Personal

I was born in 1988 in Dallas, Texas. I grew up in Duncanville, Texas and graduated from Duncanville High School in 2007. I moved to Tyler, Texas in the fall of 2007 to attend the University of Texas at Tyler. I played soccer for the University for 4 seasons; 2 of those seasons ended with an American Southwest Conference championship and a trip to the second round of the NCAA tournament. I still follow the sport closely and play recreationally. I have traveled to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil numerous times, and I am conversational in Portuguese (don’t test me too hard on that, though).

Emotional

I enjoy working with people, and I am proud to work for an office that makes people (our clients) the top priority. Clients find that I am easy to talk to, and I always strive to make sure our clients feel comfortable despite going through a difficult period of their lives.
