About Alice Bower
Hi! I am Alice Bower and I am writing this bio to tell you a little bit about myself so that you will feel more comfortable when coming to see me.
Professional
I have been practicing law in Fort Worth, Texas since 1980. During the first few years of my legal career, I practiced in several areas of law before finding my true calling – being an attorney that provides relief, reduces stress and saves homes – being a bankruptcy attorney.
Because I practiced in other areas before beginning my bankruptcy practice, I have well-rounded knowledge of areas of the law – family, probate, personal injury, criminal (both defense and prosecution) – that sometimes are affecting my bankruptcy clients. My practice has primarily been in bankruptcy since 1994. Since 2000, I have limited my practice to bankruptcy.
I have been rated with a BV Distinguished Rating from Martindale-Hubbell® - a lawyer who has been recognized by their peers for excellence in both legal ability and ethical practice.
Educational
1979 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, Doctor of Jurisprudence. 1976 graduate of Southwestern University, Georgetown, Texas, Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.
1972 graduate of MacArthur High School, Irving, Texas
Personal
I was born in 1954, in Dallas, Texas. I am married. I have one biological child and two bonus children (children that came with my marriage to my husband). All of our children are adults.
I am a certified scuba diver. I have been certified since 1990 and I have more than 120 logged dives. In addition to my law practice and my family, scuba diving is my passion.
Emotional
I am kind and considerate. I am comfortable talking about subjects that are difficult to talk about.
I listen to my clients so that I can help them determine what their goals are for filing a bankruptcy. I recognize that bankruptcy is more than a financial decision, it is an emotional decision for many people.
